Canada's, Jaidene Veda, has been an independent recording artist since 2002, self-producing and releasing six full length albums to date. She became and has remained an internationally chart topping vocalist across Billboard's Top 40 and the underground house music scene. While having traveled the world performing from New York and Miami to London, Brussels, Berlin, and Barcelona, she most recently took the stage in both Croatia and Iceland by the end of 2022.
2023 has Veda in production for her second documentary, entitled "ARTIST TO ARTIST", as well as looking ahead to the the drop of her double album "LET THE WORLD SPIN" - in its original alternative and acoustic presentation - though, including an entirely remixed edition by longtime collaborator, and studio partner, N'Dinga Gaba.

origins
For more than 20 years as a recording artist, Veda's smooth and sultry voice has become distinctly recognizable within the deep house communities and underground club culture. With six self-produced and crowd-funded albums under her belt, she has also reached the milestones of over 100 house music singles, which comprises more than 200 collaborations that have built her dynamic discography to date. Often described as "Björk meets Sade", or being dubbed "a modern day Tracey Thorn", various reviews of her work still state that her style is inimitable.
Veda has collaborated with so many of the underground's finest, namely, Josh Milan, Joaquin "Joe" Claussell", Osunlade, DJ Spinna, Eric Kupper, Atjazz, Jimpster, Tony Touch, Mr.V, Ralf Gum, Ananda Project, Daz-i-Kue, Glenn Underground, Anthony Nicholson, Nick Holder, The Rurals... and the list goes on... which includes multiple duets with the legendary spoken word poet and Pew fellow, Ursula Rucker. While she also garnered two Billboard charting singles with EDM giants, Gareth Emery, and Grammy award winner, Dave Audé, very early in her career, she remains a continually evolving and ambitious artist across several genres. Her eclectic visions display themselves in all of her solo projects while notably featuring the fusion of electronica with live horn sections, upright bass, pianists, full string quartets, and most recently, the addition of Veda on the guitar.
Having only been introduced to House Music in 1998, the early 90s sparked her love of Grunge music in the 'Sub-Pop' era, laced with the ground-breaking sound of Trip-Hop, Alternative, and Electronica. While her biggest inspirations initially came by way of Thom Yorke, Trent Reznor, and Eddie Vedder, soon came Björk, Meshell N'degeocello, and Sade. As a clear amalgamation of those tones and textures, her earliest musical love affairs enabled her to build a unique and signature sound, as well as her stylistically intimate vocal delivery. Though, it was the discovery of the deeply influential 'Naked Music' era, where the voices of Aya, Lisa Shaw, and Monique Bingham, that truly birthed a dream. 'A Dream that came true', and thus, the message Veda eternally endeavours to share through the music: "dream big".
